I left Cebu City for this

I left Cebu City for this, the farm in Cagayan de Oro City. There are lakatan bananas, goats and cattle there.

VM

I had a bit of a problem with Vmware Workstation when trying to install Ubuntu Server Edition. I had tried to do a few things which required administrator rights so I issued the sudo command and I was told unceremoniously that I had no administrator's rights and that I was not in the sudoers list. I would be reported, it told me; very disconcerting to be sure.

I did not know what to do so I figured I must have missed the part about administrator's username and password so I deleted the VM I had just installed. I did not know how to do that and I did not want to just delete it for fear of leaving traces of it behind. I googled about removing VMs and sure enough it was there. Press f9 to bring up the sidebar, right click on the erring virtual machine and "delete". Easy as pie. And I went through the whole rigmarole again and I waited until the install process finished. Sure enough, I had butted in before everything was done and I got shut out of root rights.

Anyway, here's Cagayan de Oro City with another one: Cagayan de Oro City. My Cebu City site has made pr1, surprise, surprise. Dumaguete is still in the boondocks as far as Google goes but Dumaguete has made some headway.

Cities of Cebu

Cebu City is the principal city of Cebu Province. It took a while but now there are new cities to join Cebu City,
Danao City, Mandaue City and Lapulapu City. Talisay City was the first to join this elite group of cities in Cebu Province followed by Naga City and Carcar City.

Cebu City, Front And Center!

It will be Sinulog in Cebu City soon. On the 3rd Sunday of January, 2008, Cebu City will celebrate the Feast of the Holy Child or the Feast of Santo Niño, the patron saint of Cebu City. The Sinulog will be celebrated for a week, a kind of tourism gimmick to showcase the surge of emotions that stem from a religious fervor which every Cebuano feels for his beloved Sto. Niño.

What can I say about Cebu City?

Cebu City was home. Now, I call another city home but I am not really at home in it. I guess you could say that I am like a leaf blowing in the wind. This morning as I scanned the news pages I came across many news items about Bob Dylan and I promptly made a website dedicated to this enigma. I remember when I was a young boy in Cagayan de Oro City and Bob Dylan seemed to have the right words even if his voice was raspy as though every song he sang was agony in musical terms.

a-frame, a-list, abaca, abacus, abattoir, abbey, abc, abdominal, abduction, aberdeen, abnormal, abortion, abracadabra, abrasive, absent-minded, absinthe, absolute, absorbent, abstract, absurd, abu-dhabi, abuse, abyss, acacia, academic, acadia, acapulco, accent, access, air, blog, bob-dylan, Ching’s Illusion,

Later in Cebu City, I would sing wildly and feel the nihilism in his words as I fancied myself the primal nihilist in the mold of Nietzche's superman. It was agony alright, but not so profound or earth-shaking. I tried to leave Cagayan de Oro City in my mind and made a place for myself in Cebu City and to a degree I considered Cebu City to be comfortable and safe enough to be called home.

Barangayan in Talisay

I missed the fast craft connection in Sibulan by a mere minutes which caused me to cool my heels for another hour. I had wanted to be in Cebu City early but this was not to be so. When I finally arrived, it was 8 pm and to my surprise, Rene Mercado was home and so were Roy, Bryan and Dominick. It was Barangayan in Talisay and Rene was producing the show. So, I was in for a night of loud music. And the music was loud as I was in front where the big speakers were blaring, trying to blow my eardrums as it tried to spook the decibel meter off the chart. The following day Toshi was expected to arrive from Cagayan de Oro City.

Here they are: Rails brought me to Seaside, Lotto, Yamashita gold, Nothing but FLowers. Lilliput's Flowers.

The following day, Toshi did arrive from Cagayan de Oro City with another Japanese businessman. So, it was a hectic day which included going to Agsungot and I got acquainted with the horses Dallas and Goliath again.

There are many items of interest in Ching's World, Visit also Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu City, Moira Trinity, Dumaguete, Papoy.
