Cebu

Wonderful City, Cebu. Warm, magical, beguiling, smart, cunning, hospitable, Cebu City is the shipping hub of the Philippines. The great Spanish explorer Ferdinand Magellan found the Cebuano Hospitality to his liking especially after the local king Humabon decreed all Cebuanos should be baptized Catholics. Small wonder then that Cebu achieved a favored position among the Spanish Colonizers who not only brought Religion to the Philippine Islands but also Education and Learning. The University of San Carlos is proof of this.

Although born in Cebu City, I grew up in Cagayan de Oro City in the big island of Mindanao. While many Cebuanos have braved the seas to settile in Cagayan de Oro City, there are more Boholanos in Cagayan de Oro. Just on the southern tip of Cebu lies Dumaguete City on the island of Negros.

Visit Cebu. Visit the Philippines. Immerse yourself in Ching's World. Enjoy Dumaguete. Cebu is Ching's World.
